  1.   The Number of Falun Gong practitioners that have died while detained is 278 as of Tuesday September 7th , 2001.  
  2.   American Practitioners from New Jersey were Awarded a Trophy for "Best Non-Instrumental Performing Group" in a Labour Day Parade

On September 3, 2001, practitioners won the "Best Non-Instrumental Performing Group" award at the 44th Labor Day parade in South Plainfield, New Jersey. They were awarded a trophy, demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises on their float and on the street for all the towns people. They even had a chance to chat with the local congressman.
 

 
Police stop theft in broad day light at the UN in New York City. During the afternoon of August 27th, 2001, six Falun Gong practitioners went to deliver a letter to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. Chinese from inside the UN pressured the security to make practitioners wait outside. Security had said Annan's office would send a staff member down.
